Termite Treatment in Basehor, KS
Termite Inspections and Long-Term Protection in Basehor, KS
Mission’s housing is overwhelmingly mid-century — 1950s homes that have settled for decades on established lots. That’s a classic subterranean-termite profile: aging foundations, original crawlspaces and slabs, and mature landscaping holding moisture against the structure. Eastern subterranean termites are the species in Johnson County, and older-home Mission is exactly where a careful inspection pays off.
In an established mid-century city like Mission, an inspection is the cheapest way to stay ahead of termite risk. Titan Pest Pro inspects, treats, and monitors as one local, veteran-founded team, licensed in Kansas and Missouri. The National Pest Management Association estimates termites cause over $5 billion in property damage nationally each year, and an early inspection is the cheapest insurance against joining that figure.
How Termite Work Runs
-
Inspection
We check foundations, crawlspaces, sill plates, and the moisture conditions that draw termites, and confirm whether activity is current.
-
Treatment
Liquid soil treatments around the foundation, or modern baiting and monitoring systems, matched to the home and the situation.
-
Moisture and Prevention
We point out the grading, mulch, and crawlspace conditions that invite termites and what’s worth addressing.
-
Monitoring
Ongoing termite monitoring is available with our premium coverage.
The Plan Built for This: Titan Termite Defense
Termite coverage now lives in our Titan Termite Defense plan — $99/month on a 12-month plan, built for termite inspection, professional in-ground bait-station installation, ongoing bi-monthly monitoring, and structural protection — which is the natural fit for Basehor homeowners on newer construction who want termite coverage folded in. See also our Termite Control service page for full method details.
Termite Pressure Across Basehor
Newer construction on former farmland brings its own termite paths:
Slab-on-grade homes, where termites exploit slab penetrations and expansion joints.
Former agricultural ground, where subterranean colonies were frequently already present.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Our Basehor home is new — is termite treatment really necessary?
It’s worth an inspection. Subterranean termites come up from the soil, so a new build isn’t protected — and former farmland often had colonies before the house went up. Knowing the home’s status is the point of a free inspection.
What should I watch for on a newer slab home?
Mud tubes along the foundation, swarmers in spring, and soft or hollow-sounding trim near the slab edge. A periodic inspection is sensible even on newer construction.
How do I know if I have termites?
The common signs are mud tubes on foundation walls, soft or hollow-sounding wood, blistering paint, and swarmers in spring. Many homes show nothing obvious, which is why a free inspection is the right starting point.
Is termite treatment safe around children and pets?
Yes. Products are selected and applied with families and pets in mind, and your technician walks you through any precautions first.
How fast can you come out to Basehor?
Weekday calls are usually same-day or next-business-day — Basehor is part of our core Kansas City service area.

Jason Staas came out today to do a termite inspection and sprayed the exterior of my house. He was the first one who was willing to get under the house and do a check and explained how all of the bait stations work for me. Dane was also very polite and professional when I called to let them know how great Jason was. Will recommend Titan Pest Control to everyone I know! Thank you for such great service.

Check thoroughly the crawl space, attic, and house (inside and out) for issues. Jordan sprayed all necessary areas. Thank goodness no termites. He sprayed my wasp issues under. It will be nice to set out back again. Price was more than great. This will will be my go to place when I have issues. Thank you Titan Pest Pro.

Logan was great, explained the bait stations had been used but did not needed filled yet. He caulked the outside entry point. He suggested that we glue the vent outside. Jenie was also very helpful. We were not happy with out previous service call and she offered to have someone else come out. We are very happy with Titan Pest Pro now.
