Fly Control & Exterminator in Springfield & Kansas City, MO

Flies bouncing off the kitchen window. Fruit flies hovering over the produce bowl. Drain flies coming up from the bathroom sink. Different fly species mean different problems and different solutions — and most DIY fly control fails because it doesn’t address the source.

Titan Pest Pro provides fly control across Springfield, Kansas City, and surrounding communities. We identify the species, find the source (decaying organic matter, drain biofilm, garbage area, dead rodent in a wall), and treat both the source and the population. Free inspection.

Common Flies Our Pest Control Service Sees

Our technicians identify the species first — treatment differs by fly type. Species we see most often:

house fly

House Flies (Musca domestica)

Gray with four dark stripes, about 1/4 inch. Breeds in decaying organic matter — garbage, animal waste, compost. Treatment: remove the breeding source, then treat entry points.

Fruit Flies

Fruit Flies (Drosophila spp.)

Small, tan-brown with red eyes. Breeds in fermenting fruit, produce, or garbage disposal residue. Remove the source and the population clears within 1-2 weeks.

Drain Flies

Drain Flies (Psychodidae)

Tiny, fuzzy gray-brown body resembling small moths. Breeds in drain biofilm — not a home sanitation issue. Treatment: drain treatment to break down biofilm; surface spray alone won’t reach eggs inside the drain.

Bottle flies

Bottle Flies / Blow Flies (Calliphoridae)

Large (3/8 inch) flies with metallic blue, green, or bronze body. Breed in decaying meat — dead animals (rodents in wall voids, dead birds, decaying mammals on property). When you see metallic-looking flies in unusual numbers indoors, there’s usually a dead animal source nearby. Source removal is critical — just killing the flies doesn’t resolve the underlying issue.

Cluster Flies

Cluster Flies (Pollenia rudis)

Overwintering flies that gather around windows, attics, and wall voids in cooler months. Treatment: identify entry points, seal gaps, and treat exterior/attic areas where they cluster.

Fly Control Process

Step 1 — Free Inspection

Identify the species and assess the situation. fly control situations vary enough that species-specific approach is critical.

Step 2 — Treatment Plan

Written plan with species, treatment approach, and cost before any work begins.

Step 3 — Application

Targeted treatment using EPA-registered products. We select and apply products according to label directions and explain preparation, re-entry and household-specific precautions before service. Application takes 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on property size and infestation level.
